I'm a 31 year old wife and mom living in the southeast. I've been married 3 years and I have one son and one daughter (aka the Gavinator and the Goose). Ever since becoming a mom there have been many moments that have caused me to declare "That's it, I'm officially a mom!". I'm not talking about the ordinary moments like the time I birthed my child through my va-jay-jay or nourished a child exclusively for 6 months with my breast milk alone. I'm talking about moments like the first time I went number two on the potty with a 1 year old on my lap or the first time I cleaned up my son's vomit without even gagging. Nevermind the fact I started a blog just to talk about being a mom. I am officially a mom.
So, I'm just a sixteen year old girl browsing over random blogs, but I stumbled on yours and I like it. It gave me a real sense of what being a Mom is like. I mean, I kinda know what it's like from watching my Mom and babtsitting my little sisters, but reading your blog gave me a little peek into motherhood. Thanks. Oh, and I hope you can figure out a way to get your son to sleep in his own bed. Have a great day!
Hi, Beccah! Thanks for reading and posting. I checked out your profile and saw you're from Glen Burnie. It really is a small world because my Great Aunt lived in Glen Burnie and I spent a lot of time there as a child. Not only that but I, too, wanted to be a writer when I was 16. I ended up majoring in nutrition and becoming a dietitian but writing remains a passion (hence the blog).
Holy Crap Amanda! I'm from Glen Burnie too. (moved to Az when I was in elementary school) Even after I moved, I went back to visit on a regular basis. (still do - my mom's family is there!) We're about the same age, so we may have been there at the same time!

Did you have a pool, Rachel? My great aunt lived next door to a family with a girl my same age and she used to let me come over and swim with her.
