BUSTED!!!

Months of myspace stalking have finally caught up with me!!! Who knew there was a way to track who views your page!?!

I mean, I know about site meters that tell the location and IP address of the visitor and myspace trackers that only work if the person you're tracking is also signed up for the tracking system but I'm not signed up for any tracking systems so I thought I was flying under the radar- leaving an IP address and location at best!

I was caught dork-handed:

"Do I know you? Just wondering if I know you or vice versa since you view my page often. Thanks."

The punchline? I don't know her! I just think she is interesting and has neat friends and takes cool pictures.

I've been called out as a myspace stalker. I feel so dirty. Ugh, I need a shower.

Holy shit I need a life.

Yeah, it's real funny until you are the one exposed as some sicko stalker!!!

I have no idea how she did it. I researched myspace trackers and all of them have the condition that the only way to be able to track more than the location/IP address and see the actual myspace page of the person stalking is that the person stalking must have the same tracker and be in the network. I don't have a tracker!

I almost asked her- had the e-mail written and everything- but hello, I'm the psycho freak who she doesn't know so I thought it was best just to leave this one alone.

If it makes you feel any better Amanda I fully admit to:

1. Stalking people on myspace as well and...

2. Stalking you on your blog-

Same thing, I'm just a suburban, 30-year old Mom who really does have a life of her own, I just like reading things people write and looking at pictures, is that so wrong:)

aww crap, I myspace stalk people too!

If you don't want to be myspace stalked then set your shiznit on private. That is how I have mine after getting too many invites from 63 year old man that I don't know.

Stalker here too. You are not alone.

I need that tracker. Then I get addicted to tracking.

For the record, Amanda, I am the one who shows up in Lee's Summit looking at your page many times a day.

Do you drink coffee??? Totally unrelated but I am getting together a Christmas surprise for you.... (;

Stalkers unite!

See, I don't know what her deal was. If she doesn't like people looking at her page, go private, and if it's not a big deal, why e-mail me and make out me as the psycho stalker I am?

I love my stalkers :) I would never out you (although you kind of sort of just outed yourselves :)).

HAHAHAHA... I should link to her profile and we could all start stalking her. Although I'll wait and see if she tells me how she tracked me down!

Oh my god, Amanda - I am TOTALLY laughing right now! Well, this proves it. We *all* live vicariously through other people! How the hell did she catch on to you, I wonder?!

Wow, I have been researching these myspace trackers (yes, holy shit I need a life but I never said when I would start getting a life... obviously ain't today) and there are actually people who have these trackers who are pissed that people are viewing their pages and think that these random stalkers need to "get a life".

Ummmmm, kind of funny that someone who sits around all day and checks their myspace trackers get pissed that people are reading their PUBLIC myspace page and think those people need to get a life.

What? What was that? Oh, kettle, it's for you. It's pot. He says you're black.

I'm not well-versed in MySpace, but I know you can easily stick a Sitemeter icon on your page. (I did it on mine to test it out for a friend who was concerned, but I never check the report.)

I blog stalk because I'm low tech and have no idea when new content is up aside from clicking over to check.

Hey speaking of myspace - I was just visiting your page. When I clicked on the "Home" button at the top to take me back to mine, it took me a to a page that Firefox notified me was forged.

If you hold your curser over that home button you can see at the bottom of your page it shows a different web address than what should be there.

Me:

In English, please. I have no idea what you just said. I just spent ten minutes trying to find my home button on the toolbar. Do you think my page is forged? Is myspace really evil?

Hey its me Maria for one thing. LOL I don't know why my scrn name showed up as "me"

You know when you are viewing your myspace page the way that other people see it? and you want to go back to edit your profile, you click on the "Home" button on the blue menu right below the ads.

That is where it is at. I'll go check it out in min. If you have IM
I'm mariaTpruitt on msn, aol & yahoo.
